R. C. Humphreys ran some at the Hohenwald track and later ran in and around Missouri.
R. C. stated that the Hohenwald track operation was one of the best for paying prize money as soon as the races were over. Below is a copy of an envelope that shows that it was for 1st place in the feature race. The amount of the winnings was $60 and his number was written in the upper right corner.
